Nature always seems to have that one show-off - the element that stands out from everything else. For humans, that star has always been the rose. It’s no surprise why: the perfect spiral of petals, the resilience, the drama of romance mixed with thorns (because apparently nature loves a little attitude), and a beauty that appeals to almost every sense - from its velvet texture to its unforgettable colors. A rose can be cut, gifted, admired, and yet within days it grows back again, ready to office beauty once more. For me, that quality says everything about nature: resilient, generous, consistent, and endlessly creative. It can wear countless colors, shapes, and variations, but its beauty is never up for debate. The Malibu Rose was born from that idea. This structure takes inspiration from the rose’s strong edges, its orientation toward the sun, and its ability to regenerate - standing confidently on the hillside as if absorbing exactly what it needs to bloom again and again. My challenge was to translate the spirit of a rose into architectural form: layers, elegance, strength, sunlight, and just enough complexity to make you smile. Welcome to the Malibu Rose -where nature’s elegance ignites a new form of living.
